Decibel Prize

Hello everyone,

David here in Oslo. I arrived yesterday and the rest of Red Snapper are turning up today for a gig this evening. Its great to be here and Im really looking forward to the show tonight. I went out last night walking around in Oslo just exploring the city. Its a real winter wonderland, all white and twinkling and freezing but so beautiful. I had a lovely breakfast in the hotel this morning. They had lots and lots delicious things to eat. Its what we in America refer to as a "Smorgasbord" . The salmon with cocoa powder and chili flakes was so good I nearly had a Smorgasm. By the way,as an American I'd like to apologize to the people of Norway.I don't know why Obama didn't have lunch with the King, but Im sure it was nothing personal. Maybe he just wasn't hungry?
Red Snapper have never won a Nobel Prize and Im not sure if we ever will, but I do know a thing or two about international diplomacy. In fact, you could say it's a bit of a hobby with me. Kind of like a retired surgeon who likes to keep his hand in by doing the occasional operation on his kids. Perhaps if they were handing out Decibel prizes we would be contenders?
I have recently seen two excellent documentaries. "Soul Power" features James Brown, BB King, The Spinners and loads of other musicians at the height of their powers, doing their thang in Zaire, 1974 as part of the Ali-Foreman fight. If you ever watched "When We were Kings" and wished you could hear more of the fantastic music, then your wish has come true. The other one is "It Might Get Loud" featuring Jimmy Page, The Edge and Jack White talking about what music means to them and playing it. All three are thoughtful, interesting characters and even if I wasn't a guitarist I would have been fascinated by this.

Snapper have top show @ KOKO, London.

easy all,

I'm home after a somewhat dreary swansea game, we won 1-0 against Plymouth on a cold and wet night at the liberty stadium. The first half was dreadful and my 9 year old son would have been embarrassed by the performance, second half saw Pintado and Trundle running at the defence which resulted in a top goal by Lee. Should have been 3-0..back @ no.5.

Anyway...on to more inspiring stuff.
We had a great night at Koko on Camden on Saturday. A great crowd and a top response.
A huge thanks to Dan and Chris from Mash Cinema for their excellent visuals...top work and look out for more action with these talented fellas.

Thanks to all the fans who turned out on a cold wet night...especially the people who traveled all the way from Frankfurt...RESPECT!

A special mention must go to my friends from Harpenden who continue to fly the flag of misadventure.

We are coming to the close of a wonderful year of shows with great crowds, promoters and staff...Oslo on Saturday and then Thessaloniki and Athens...keep the support coming!

The album is coming soon...honest!!

Tips..all 4 monopods from Soma/slam
